Blocked Drain and Pipe Cleaning
Nobody ever worries about their drains until they stop working, generally leading to bad smells and the risk off effluent or water coming up in all the wrong places. At Strathclyde Drainage our vehicles carry High Pressure Jetting machinery, capable of building water pressure up to 4000psi and then under the control of a fully trained engineer, shoots the water into the pipe removing the blockage.
Whether a drain pipe or a vertical soil/storm pipe, the high pressure jets can handle it. Due to the design of the jet head, the pipe self propels itself forward giving it the ability to climb vertically as well as horizontally if required. High pressure jetting is a very efficient and effective way to deal with most blockages.

Drains can block for a wide variety of reason, ranging from the build up of grease and scale to the more serious case of root intrusion. Using our jetting machinery with different jet heads we can overcome most problems we are faced with.
Hard Scale, Grease and Fat deposits
Rotary nozzles are ideal for use when removing hard scale, fat or grease. The jet rotates circulating water around the whole pipe removing the build up then allowing the water flow to wash the pipe clean.
Heavy Silt
Plough jets are designed to sit on the bottom of the drain or sewer, flushing out silt and loose deposits that have settled there. These are very effective at cleaning newly laid drains on building sites or recently flooded drains where silt has been left laying in the drain once the water has gone.
Root Removal
This precise and versatile stainless steel tool is suitable for cutting fibrous plant or root material from within the pipe or drainage system. Due to the grinding of the chains, the cleaning takes place along the inner line of the pipe without causing any damage. The range of application can be varied by using optional accessories, like different chain types with different lengths, a middle knife or a milling headpiece.
